I wanted to put a background inside the circle of the logo, so I made a subtle background pattern.
The making of background patterns varies with the type of software used. This tutorial is about the design process of making a logo, not about the making of the individual pieces.

Chose a type face for the logo, and laid out the lettering. Had to custom "kern" the text.
"Kerning" of text is the custom spacing of the letters. Letter spacing is something that you must be concerned with in logo design.
